    Perfect

This is our fourth stay at No.10 - it is smart, friendly, excellent location(we have family close by) and Glasgow city centre is easily reached by train or car/cab.

Only that access to car parking at rear is on rough road which in the event of heavy rain - which we experienced last week- does get a little flooded!

    Great

The room was small but very well furnished. The hotel seamed to have nice common areas

    Nice

The room the bathroom were very large, clean and quiet.

The first impression was good... after a while, though, several glitches showed up: there was a single light fixture in the bedroom (no night-stand light); the bathroom was large but there were no shelves (all our toiletries were cramped on the small sink), the duved was quite warm - uncomfortably so! And there was nothing lighter to replace it. Overall it seemed that the hotel had plenty of money to spend on the rooms, with no idea on how to do that properly.

    Perfect

The hotel was used for my aunts wedding, both the ceremony and the reception. The staff where very helpful and the hall was set up lovely. Everyone enjoyed the meal, it was excellent and the food was nice and hot. No one seemed to have any complaints about the food. The rooms are nicely done up and are very spacious. I have stayed in both the hotel and the townhouse and they are always very clean

    Great

We stayed for just one night, We had a nice view of the park, the room was massive as was the the bathroom, verry clean aswell, the hotel had a wedding reception on at the time any we didn't hear ant noise what so ever, The hotel decor was really nice and had a warm feel to it, it had a nice beer garden in the back, We would definateley stay again.

Beautiful building, sympathically restored and decorated.

On the evening I stayed there was a wedding receiption in the restaurant and therefore the restaurant was not open to hotel guests. If I had been made aware of this when I booked it would not have been a problem but it would have given me the choice to have something to eat before getting a taxi to the hotel in the evening. Not being told until I checked in limited my chioces. I was told there would be a bar meal available, then another member of staff told me there was not food and offered to give me directions to local restaurants/take aways etc. Eventually I was givden a menu but with very little choice. I eventually ordered a pizza but after arriving at the hotel at around 6pm and not eating till gone 9pm, not good enough really. Also long waiting times for staff. I think they should be up front about other functions being t=run at the hotel during your stay.

Liked location, really enjoyed breakfast on the veranda, staff were wonderful and extremely attentive. Made very welcome. Interior was very nice too. Everything looked and felt homely and welcoming.

The only very minor thing we didnt like was the loud music in the bar. But being mature people I guess this would be typical.

    Very good

Very friendly staff, clean room and perfect for Hampden Park and Glasgow.

Had problems with room key which was not sorted and had to go back to reception each time I needed to get into room. Very hot weather and room on top floor like an oven. Mentioned this when leaving and was told fan could have been offered. If staying on top floor ask for the fan you will need it.

It is convenient for our family visiting needs, reasonably friendly and comfortable

My complaint relates to the service received during my 1 night stay on the 25th June. My partner and I travel frequently to Glasgow to see friends and family and have stayed in 7 different hotels in the last 6 months therefore have a good understanding of the competitive hotel set. In terms of room description - room 23 was in no way 'Boutique' as per the photos on the website. Furthermore guests should be made aware that they will be staying in the main hotel rather than the standard annex which is comparable to that of a Travel Lodge without the benefit of location. The service or lack thereof received from arrival to leaving the hotel was abysmal - the front desk staff had limited knowledge of the area, failed to advise that food was unavailable due to a wedding taking place at the venue & gave the wrong code for 3G access so we were unable to find an alternative solution. Furthermore, the latter was exacerbated by the rude, unhelpful & aggressive approach of the manager Willie. I have never been treated in such a patronising way by a hotel manager in my life - he advised due to a Wedding taking place at the venue there was no food/ snacks available to other guests without offering any alternative. If this is the case then hotel rooms should only be available to the wedding party and not the general public to avoid such inconvenience. Moreover, we were then told conflicting information from another member of staff that bar snacks was available - we spoke to Willie in person and relayed this information. As a result he begrudgingly offered steak pie which the Wedding guests were having 'on the house'. We ordered wine to be accompany the meal from another member of staff and assumed that as a gesture of goodwill it would also be complementary - this was far from the case and Willie made it known by announcing to us from the door as we were seated in the room 'only the (one) meal’ was complimentary.

    Comfortable bed

Incredible heat, dirty curtains and nets, small bathroom with no place to hang your towels, no glasses to store your toothbrushes or rinse your teeth what is important with two taps bassin and bath. No floor towel. Uneaven driveway to the car park (needs 4 x 4, but narrow one only). Way to the car park throught the dining hall (enjoy your 13 pounds breakfast with guests passing by your table).
